If you do a Google image search for medipacks, you will quickly see that a red cross represents healing in numerous games. Strictly speaking, that was never allowed. Despite its simple form, the symbol is not subject to public domain, but is protected by the International Committee of the Red Cross.

At the beginning of 2017, the ban attracted the attention of various gaming portals because the developers of the strategy game Prison Architect had to subsequently remove the red cross from the game via a patch; the symbol was seen on ambulances, among other things, and took up just 5 pixels.
